Well I just had to do a quick update for Helena's page as of today Helena and Tippo now have 2 boys that have made UK Grand Champion at the Supreme show in Birmingham. A title well worth having as Neo was only the 2nd entire male to gain the title and now his brother Ymer has done so as well. Ymer - aka 'Pink' belongs to Kate Healing of the Jhardufae prefix and huge Congratulations go to her and many thanks as well for her care of him. Well done to Helena and Tippo they have both left a wonderful legacy within the breed and I am so proud of them both and love them both very dearly. Ymer can be seen below and on the gallery pages.

Helena is now almost six years old and I'm sure that you can see how beautifully she has matured over the years! We are just so happy to have her here with us and the kittens that she has had over the years have just been so lovely, with her wonderful gentleness and big frames. Helena will just have one more litter before she is neutered to live a happy life as an Aunty and we'll be picking a special male to put to her next year.

Helena arrived at Landsker just before Christmas 2003, she just loved that Christmas tree! Helena has settled in well and has firmly esconced herself in the feline and human household. She is a lovely large framed sturdy girl with a sweet nature and really wonderful mothering instincts after a difficult start. Below are a couple of pictures of her, she just loves to cuddle...even when it's just Tippo's tail :-). She has been a wonderful cat to practise positive re-inforcement on as she has a tendency to be shy with people that she doesn't know. Treat based training has given her a confidence that is wonderful to see, she now chooses to spend much more time outside in the village of runs, which she would only make very quick visits to when she was younger and also, to her great surprise and mine, actually sits on my lap for a fuss these days. The difference all started with a couple of slow blinks when she made eye contact and she just hasn't looked back since, what a joy she is to have around! Below a picture of Helena and her daughter Unique displaying Helena's huge amount of tolerance and great love of being close even if the cat on top of her is over half her size :-) She's a great girl and passes on this wonderful tactileness to her kittens.
