Nefertiti struck me as soon as she was born, it's always hard to see the type of solid kittens because there is all that colour but her head shape was so striking that I thought I would have to keep my eye on her. She went through all kinds of stages as did I not knowing whether or not I should keep her or let her go and have something back from her. All through her first three months she never failed to make me smile and love her and in the end she stayed with us. She still makes me smile with her antics and is such a character and joy to have around and that makes me so glad that in the end she stayed with us. She goes back to my lovely Neo and also my beautiful Hrokka's sister so she has some really lovely cats behind her in the pedigree. It's so sad that Lysander ended up having a copy of the GSD gene and I'm hoping that when I get the results back from her GSD IV tests that they will be negative so that we can have a litter or two with her and see what she can pass on. So fingers and toes crossed that she doesn't carry a copy of the gene and we can go on to have a long and happy life together. As you can see from above the tests came back negative and we couldn't have hoped for more really as it would have been such a shame to have neutered her and not be able to have any kittens. So now we look forward to choosing a male for her and I'm sure that we'll have a lot of fun doing so and we greatly look forward to kittens from her in 2010.

I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of Titi today, just love her looks and character but I don't often get the pictures that I'd like to put on the web....still these ones aren't bad at all and give a good feel for her looks. She's as big as her Grandma Ska already and she's only 5 months old so I'm really looking forward to seeing how she grows and gets on at the shows. I've always loved black cats but never found a 'Forest Cat' that had the looks that I like but as her name so eloquently states - she is 'The Chosen One' and I'm so happy that she stayed with us.
