D.O.B. - 5th December 2009 - Silver tortie classic tabby & white may carry dilute

Safari is the lovely silver tortie that we kept from Helena's mating with Star. She has so many qualities from her mother and never fails to remind me of her especially when she's softly padding on anything remotely soft or fluffy. Such a graceful girl and a sweet and ladylike demeanor that we've come to know and love from Helena's girls. Safari will be bred from sometime next year when a suitable stud has been found for her. She has an elegant and lengthy body with a lovely long tail and wonderful expression and we surely look forward to seeing what sort of kittens she has in the future as she has such a lovely gentle way with the kittens even when she's playing rough with them.

Above you can see two close ups of Safari's tortie as it is very hard to find and can be missed very easily so we thought it would be a good idea to show it in a couple of pictures. She has two patches between her back legs and on her right and left shoulder. We are hoping that she will breed like Helena and give us lots of red boys :-) .

 

Safari is turning into a very beautiful young lady with a long body, lovely and high on her back legs and a tail that goes on forever. Her expression is absolutely wonderful and she is now really starting to outshine her mother, Helena. She has all the qualities that I love about Helena and is weighing in at 4.5kgs at 9 months old so she's doing so well! I'm hoping that she will continue this weight gain and do what most females do, which is to gain in the body structure and weight after having her first litter with Quormit. We are planning to mate her with Quormit for her first time even though they are both maidens. It is worth a try as they are the best of friends and she is a very non confrontational girl.
