Darling Tippo at years old is every bit as Majestic as he was at 3yrs old. This guy has never gone off in his looks, he just got better and better as the years went by. He has the loveliest of temperaments and has produced countless show winners over the years. His Grandson Star is producing wonderful kittens and following in his footsteps so it's great to know that although he's neutered his wonderful looks and temperament go on. We have his lines in Dune, who is his Grand Niece and also Curtis is related through his Grandfather who was Dune's brother. Ska is his Granddaughter and Star, as mentioned earlier is his Grandson and last but not least Yettie is the daughter from his last mating with Nefertiti so it's mostly family here with him. 2010

Tippo has finally been neutered and is now a retired 8yr old beautiful male, he has calmed down enough to be brought back in the house with the girls and hopefully we'll be updating his page with new pictures and anecdotes of his happy life in the future. He is an outstanding tribute to his breeder and the Forest Cat population in the UK, having produced the most wonderful looking and beautiful tempered kittens in his years as a breeding male. He's produced UK Grand Champions, Grand Champions and also Triple Grand Champions on the show bench and has most certainly earned a life of freedom and choice for his later years. We hope that he will live on for many years and have, ourselves, some wonderful Great, Great Grandchildren of his to go on in the breeding.

2008

Tippo is now 5 1/2yrs old and I would say a fully mature male, he is just as good as it gets for me and I will just let the pictures below that were taken January 08 speak for themselves, he has a majesty in his bearing that is hard to capture in a photo, though I think that these pictures do him some justice. His bearing and wild looks coupled with his gentle giant temperament are what make him so special to me :-) .Tippo will only be breeding for a limited time now and we hope to have our last few litters from him in 2009 so that by 2010 he will be living a happy life as a neuter.

Tippo is now a 4yr old sturdy male. He has wonderful boning and a large frame with a head to match, his sidelines and profile are straight as a die and he has produced some really gorgeous babies for us over the last 2 1/2yrs. I'm happy to say that several of his kittens have gone into the breeding program over here in the UK and some are on the show bench doing well. Tippo weighs in at 8kgs at the moment but he's skinny due to the girls calling and it being summer, with his frame I would think that he should really be more like 10kgs so hopefully this winter he will put the weight back on and look more like he should.

Tippo is an open stud and is available either here in Pembrokeshire or he can travel to the home of the calling queen, truly a mobile stud boy :-). At Landsker we don't believe in restrictions on breeding lines, which lead to problems in the gene pool in future generations and therefore all our kittens from Tippo go on the active register, by doing this we hope to stop breeders having one of Tippo's kittens and shutting the lines down to only personal use, which doesn't help the breed!. The whole idea being that sharing the lines within the breed is the goal, that way you can get the combinations that can produce stunning cats even from cats that some breeders thought should just be neutered (see picture of Tippo's Great Grandmother - S*Gomorran's Jerica below his pedigree). We only sell to people that we feel have the best interests of the individual cat and the breed at heart & the same goes for anyone wanting to use Tippo at stud. Although we do put all of our kittens on the active register to help keep the lines open this is NOT something that we insist on other breeders doing with our lines, though we do hope that they will carry on the spirit of what we are trying to do by keeping the lines open for everyone's use and benefit and not restricting the lines to the extent where they cannot help the breed in general. If you decide to have a mating or buy one of Tippo's kittens then what we are trying to say is that we will be there for you when you need advice but that the choices of how to breed your cat is yours and not ours.

2006

Tippo is now a wonderful 3yr old male, with all the qualities that I could have hoped for in a stud cat, with many qualities that I think are essential for a Norwegian Forest male. He stands high on his back legs, has a wonderful long body with tail that reaches up and over his head in greeting. He now has a lovely strong head to match that large frame and an expression to die for in my opinion. The best thing about this boy is his absolutely stunning temperament, which he is passing down strongly to his offspring, as well as the qualities talked about before. Below are a couple of photos to show these traits. The profile photo is a lucky one whilst he was asleep as it is hard to get a good profile shot so this one was a lucky break for me :-)
